The female pelvic floor is complex, but the process of finding the right size Uresta is simple. Start with the middle size 4 included in the Uresta Starter Kit and follow the steps below:
You have found your perfect size if:
- Your bladder leakage has stopped
- You are able to empty your bladder without difficulty
- Uresta fits comfortably and is barely noticeable
Try a smaller size if:
- You are unable to empty your bladder
- It is uncomfortable
Try a larger size if:
- Your bladder leaking has not stopped.
- Uresta falls down to the opening of your vagina or falls out altogether.
If the sizes in the Starter Kit do not work for you and you find that you need either a size 2 or a size 6, please let us know within 30 days and we’ll send it free of charge.

There are 3 sizes included in the Starter Kit, which work for 90% of women. We have two additional sizes available (our smallest and largest), which we can send for free if requested within 30 days.
It’s worth keeping all the sizes as some women may use more than one size depending on the activity.
Uresta 2.0 is the exact same when it comes to sizing and level of leak-proof protection. It will feel the same and be just as comfortable as the original Uresta.The only changes are adding a robust finger hole in the handle and the introduction of the optional Removal String.
The finger hole handle lets you get a secure grip and remove Uresta with one finger. Locate the handle, insert your finger, and pull out. Tip: twisting or tipping Uresta side to side first helps break the seal.
For extra help locating the handle, use an optional Removal String. They're pre-looped, so just loop the string through the handle, then through its other end, and pull to tighten around the base of the handle. Tip: position it on either side of the middle divider ridge for better control.
To remove, follow the string to the handle, then insert your finger as above.
Removal Strings are optional and single-use — discard after each use. Each Starter Kit includes 15 free samples; a 60-count Removal String Wallet is available for restocking.
Uresta is safe to use long-term, and it won’t weaken your pelvic floor muscles or make your incontinence worse. Uresta is also a great compliment to pelvic floor strengthening.
We recommend 1 year. For safety and optimal long-term use, we recommend swapping out your Uresta at least once a year. It’s a hygiene thing, like renewing your toothbrush or switching out your socks. Keep it fresh, keep it comfy!
We know a year can fly by when you’re leak-free. That’s why we recommend signing up here to be reminded when it’s time to replace your Uresta.
The Uresta works around your needs. Use it for all day protection, during specific scenarios like a good gym workout, or when you have a bad cold. When wearing it daily, we encourage taking it out before bed and giving your vaginal tissues an overnight break.
The Uresta is licensed by Health Canada and cleared by the FDA, and it’s been shown in clinical studies to be a safe and reliable way to manage bladder leaks. Uresta won’t increase your chances of getting a UTI or other infections, simply make sure to follow the instructions and wash thoroughly before and after each use!
